Firstly I would like to welcome you to the website, and thank you for visiting.
My name is Ian Price, and I am a freelance Motorsport journalist from North Wales. I am a software engineer by trade, but I have a great love for all things motorsport. This was the reason I started this website, in order to get involved in motorsport in some way and have somewhere to showcase my work.
I have always enjoyed Motorsport, and used to watch Grand Prix, Touring Cars and the occasional clips of the WRC available on TV during the '90s. It was the WRC that captivated my interest and took it to a whole new level. Specifically it was watching Colin McRae's performance on his way to winning the 51st Network Q RAC Rally. I watched in awe, as his all-or-nothing driving style took him comfortably to the rally win, and ultimately, the World Rally Championship Drivers title in that same season. From thereon my love developed into somewhat of a passion. I began to take more of an interest in the mainstream series, and at the same time paying more and more attention to feeder series and, in-turn, some grass roots series.
To date my articles have primarily been round ups of meetings of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), World Rally Championship (WRC), V8 Supercars (V8SC) and Superleague Formula (SLF) within the 2008 season. Whilst writing these, I have gradually adapted my writing style throughout the season, and am continually working to find my own style of writing. As I begin to cover the 2009 season, some changes to how I cover race meetings will come into place, and some more feature articles will be published here.
Some of my work can be seen on the excellent
TouringCarTimes website, where I will mainly be covering the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), but will also be lending a hand with the other leading series they cover British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), Swedish Touring Car Championship (STCC), Danish Touring Car Championship (DTC) and the Australian V8 Supercar Championship.
I welcome any comments, suggestions and indeed constructive criticism.
Again thank you for visiting my website. Please take a few minutes to register in order to receive an E-Mail update each week with a summary of any new articles.
Thanks
Ian
